We are searching to hire a SOLID WASTE SPECIALIST to join our team in solid waste R&D department.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the solid waste management team in all stages of tenders’ preparation, regarding public and private projects. 
  • Participation in the design of solid waste management projects (MBT plants, sanitary landfills, etc.)
  • Evaluation and selection of process equipment during the technical offers’ preparation and implementation.
  • Evaluation of the proposed technical providers regarding mechanical and biological processes and technologies for MBT plants
  • Co-operation with the selected consulting firm that will implement the technical offers.
  • Assists in the growth of the department and evaluates new technologies and partnerships concerning waste management infrastructure and equipment.
  • Prepare / review all designs, proposals, technical drawings and reports regarding solid waste treatment plants and infrastructure (MBT plants, landfills, MRF plants, waste transfer stations, etc.), in accordance with the relevant codes, tender documents demands and engineering practices.
  • Prepare and update a detailed annual work plan, aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Manage solid waste projects that include design and construction of processing and disposal facilities such as landfills, collection depots, transfer stations, material recycling, and organic management.
  • Site visits for evaluating and monitoring of solid waste management projects during construction.
  • Develop, coordinate or manage solid wastes recycling programs or projects.

Main Qualifications

  • University degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
  • Master’s degree will be considered an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years previous experience in solid waste management projects. Experience in Solid Waste management projects is mandatory and in energy / renewables projects would be considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of Project scheduling Software (preferable MS Project) would be considered a plus.
  • Excellent Knowledge on 2D and 3D Design (AutoCAD / Inventor software preferred)
  • Very good command of the English language, written and verbal.
  • Very good knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
