Starting with the role:
Currently, we are seeking to hire an IFRS Reporting Accountant based in Aspropirgos.
During your day you will:
- Prepare and submit consolidated financial statements (for 9 legal entities) and standalone statutory reporting ensuring compliance with IFRS standards and group accounting policies
- Support the preparation of MOTOR OIL Group’s IFRS financial statements on a quarterly basis
- Prepare the reconciliation and elimination of all intercompany transactions
- Be responsible for all aspects of IFRS 16 Accounting
- Perform IFRS 9 ECL model (Expected credit loss model to trade receivables) on a quarterly basis.
- Be responsible for IFRS adjustments and reclassifications.
- Develop and monitor a robust control system over subsidiaries’ accounting processes in collaboration with rest accounting team and/or management
- Provide support to the Accounting Operations in the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Contribute to the development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies under IFRS
- Support internal & external audits over accounting issues and resolve any issues related to area of expertise
- Prepare and submit questionnaires for various purposes (Bank of Greece, IOVE, ELSTAT etc.)
- Be up to date with changes in International Financial Reporting Standards and communicate changes within Finance Department. Apply necessary improvements in Group Reporting Systems
What you need to stand out:
- University Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline
- Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance will be preferred
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in IFRS Reporting
- Proficient use of MS Office, especially Excel
- Experience in SAP environment
- Experience in consolidation tools (preferably SAP/EPM systems) will be considered a plus
- Knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS and Greek GAAP), good analytical skills gained through finance education and basic understanding of reporting processes structure and systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills both in Greek and English
