Starting with the role:
In this context, we are searching to hire a Payments & Controls Associate to be responsible for the invoice verification of accounts payable and payments processing.
During your day you will:
- Be responsible for the invoice verification process and relevant approval workflow, to ensure compliance with company processes and internal controls
- Review payment instructions and validate supporting documentation
- Be responsible for the accurate and on-time payment processing through the creation of payment files, the recording of individual transactions and monitoring of the payments’ status for LPC entity and/or subsidiaries.
- Reconcile transactions to bank statements, and books payments to the accounts’ payable ledger
- Operate and review vendors’ aging analysis and performs supplier reconciliations to ensure the correctness of balances
- Investigate and resolve any vendor queries regarding accounts payable.
- Establish and maintain effective relations with suppliers, sourcing buyers and banks
- Collaborate in standardization of payment formats and streamline payment processes to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance control mechanisms
- Contribute to daily treasury operations
- Be responsible for the creation & maintenance of the assets in the Fixed Asset module in SAP
- Support audit procedure and cooperate with auditors
What you need to stand out:
- Bachelor’s University degree preferably in Finance, Accounting or other related discipline
- Master’s degree in one of the abovementioned disciplines will be considered an asset
- 1-3 relevant experience in a similar role
- Experience in SAP ERP
- Knowledge of risk management techniques and tools
- Proficient use of MS Office
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Flexibility and adaptability at complex working environment
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
