Starting with the role:

In this context, we are searching to hire a Payments & Controls Associate to be responsible for the invoice verification of accounts payable and payments processing.

During your day you will:

• Be responsible for the invoice verification process and relevant approval workflow, to ensure compliance with company processes and internal controls
• Review payment instructions and validate supporting documentation
• Be responsible for the accurate and on-time payment processing through the creation of payment files, the recording of individual transactions and monitoring of the payments’ status for LPC entity and/or subsidiaries.
• Reconcile transactions to bank statements, and books payments to the accounts’ payable ledger
• Operate and review vendors’ aging analysis and performs supplier reconciliations to ensure the correctness of balances
• Investigate and resolve any vendor queries regarding accounts payable.
• Establish and maintain effective relations with suppliers, sourcing buyers and banks
• Collaborate in standardization of payment formats and streamline payment processes to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance control mechanisms
• Contribute to daily treasury operations
• Be responsible for the creation & maintenance of the assets in the Fixed Asset module in SAP
• Support audit procedure and cooperate with auditors

What you need to stand out:

• Bachelor’s University degree preferably in Finance, Accounting or other related discipline
• Master’s degree in one of the abovementioned disciplines will be considered an asset
• 1-3 relevant experience in a similar role
• Experience in SAP ERP
• Knowledge of risk management techniques and tools
• Proficient use of MS Office
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy
• Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Flexibility and adaptability at complex working environment
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
