Starting with the role:
Currently, we are seeking to hire a Project Manager to join the O&M team based in Heraklion, Crete.
During your day you will:
- Manage and overview operations & maintenance to ensure the efficiency of the plant operations and the resolution of any issues that arise, as per operations license and contractual terms.
- Cooperate with the Operation & Maintenance team in order to define the project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress and deadlines as per contractual terms
- Define and coordinate required resources and third parties/vendors/ subcontractors for the flawless execution of projects and performs on site supervision when required
- Be responsible for Health & Safety Measures
- Monitor budget and propose any necessary adjustments to meet budgeting objectives (e.g. provision for maintenance works, supplies as per contract, etc)
- Develop and maintain required spreadsheets, diagrams, process maps and other project documentation (e.g. employee attendance log, the work event log, other general and special programs)
- Participate in the preparation of reports to top management on project issues, performance, progress and compliance to contractors’ agreements’ terms & statutory regulation and proposes improvements
- Handle and monitor management and accounting mailing
- Manage changes and improvements to the project scope, project schedule and project costs
- Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- Cooperate with third parties/vendors/subcontractors and all stakeholders involved
- Participate in the drawing up of final contracts regarding the equipment supplies and services
- Handle the payment process for suppliers and subcontractors as per contractual terms
- Support licensing process from Authorities for the plant operation
- Support handling of insurance companies’ claims for the project (if any) (e.g. collection of evidence, documentation etc)
What you need to stand out:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering field
- Master’ degree in Engineering or Waste Management related field will be considered an asset
- At least 5 years professional experience in operations and maintenance field industrial Sector (ideally in Solid Waste Management Facilities and biogas exploitation)
- Previous experience in Project Management and Performance Management
- Strong working knowledge on Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project Manager, AUTOCAD
- Fluency in English (proficiency in writing, reading, speaking)
- Analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
