Starting with the role:

Currently we are searching to hire an Operations & QHSSE Engineer based in Kavala.

The Operations & QHSSE Engineer will be responsible for Kavala Depot Quality, Health, Safety, Security & Environment (QHSSE) compliance and develop sustainable QHSSE best practices in terms of legal compliance, technical excellence and cultural/behavioral improvement.

The purpose of the role is to ensure full compliance of Depot operations to procedures and QHSSE requirements and to ensure the technical readiness for operation.

During your day you will:

  • Ensure overall compliance of Depot operations with legal and MOH group standards
  • Be responsible to maintain updated all necessary legal documents to ensure Depot legal compliance (i.e Operating Licence, Environmental permits, Waste disposal system etc)
  • Be responsible for the implementation of technical projects to ensure QHSSE compliance
  • Review Control Framework, Hazards and Effects Management Process and all processes, practices and QHSSE methods for standardization and cost optimization
  • Plan and Implement the QHSSE Plans and achieve QHSSE Scorecard and Performance KPIs
  • Develop QHSSE Awareness and Competences of all staff in scope
  • Control expenditure of above functions in accordance with Company’s objectives and Opex/Capex Budget
  • Review, assess and propose amendments in technical/maintenance practices to ensure asset integrity and Depot availability
  • Act as Deputy Depot Manager
  • Develop & maintain relationships with internal & external stakeholders

What you need to stand out:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical , Electrical or Chemical Engineering
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in technical/operations/QHSSE related roles preferably in Heavy Industry
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English language (oral and written)
  • Proficient use of MS Office tools
