Starting with the role:

Currently, we are searching to hire an Accounts Receivable Accountant to manage accounts receivable and credit control, ensuring timely collection of payments and assessing customer creditworthiness.

During your day you will:

  • Process and record all incoming payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers through credit checks and financial analysis.
  • Set and monitor credit limits for customers based on company policies.
  • Handle credit approval procedures, ensuring compliance with internal controls, processes and policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of collection activities.
  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, including aging reports and cash flow forecasts. 
  • Issue monthly aggregate invoices for selected major customers.
  • Addressing any billing problems or disagreements.
  • Constantly work on improving billing process.

What you need to stand out:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • MBA or master’s degree with relevant specialization would be considered a plus.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial functions.
  • Sound knowledge of retail accounting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
  • Working knowledge of SAP functionalities and processes.
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written, in Greek and English languages.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
  • Analytical thinking.
  • Team player.
  • Organizational & time management skills
