Starting with the role:
Currently, we are searching to hire a Domestic Buyer who will be responsible for the identification of new products/ services and negotiations with potential vendors (product sourcing) for the retail store network and B2B client portfolio.
During your day you will:
- Act as a buyer for the retail store network and B2B client portfolio.
- Identify new products/services’ opportunities in the market and presents proposals/options to the Buying Head.
- Handle negotiations and agreements with potential vendors and provide complete proposals to the Buying Head, including:
- the relevant due diligence process
- price structure and discounts
- ensuring optimum execution of company’s strategy
- Monitor competition’s product range, prices and promotions and propose actions to the Buying Head, if needed.
- Collaborate with Category Executives to create a complete portfolio of products and services to be approved by leadership.
- Collect marketing material from suppliers and update the Category Executives and the Marketing Department regarding the vendors’ marketing position for the product.
- Cooperate with Logistics Operations Executives to support stock optimization/availability and order placement.
- Track key business performance indicators (sales, volumes, margins, DSOs, etc ) to evaluate progress towards objectives and assist in the preparation of reports for the senior management.
What you need to stand out:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- MBA or master’s degree with relevant specialization would be considered a plus.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Experience in account management of products and services and supplier negotiations.
- Familiarity with spend data analysis.
- Excellent communications skills both verbal and written, in Greek and English languages.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
- Multitasking personality.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues, assess risks, and develop effective solutions.
