The Company
Tallon Commodities Limited is an FCA regulated trading company and EEX member, offering risk management solutions to professional clients such as airlines, shipping and passenger ferries, heavy industries, refineries and traders. Tallon, an affiliate of Motor Oil, trades energy commodities such as crude oil & products, power & gas, carbon emissions, base metals and shipping derivatives (FFAs). The company has an efficient corporate structure, strong strategic alliances and the required regulatory approvals to offer high quality services to our clientele. Tallon has a diverse, customer-focused, entrepreneurial management team, with deep fundamental knowledge in the energy commodity markets and strong structuring skills across all other major asset classes. Our ability to combine financial structuring expertise with physical trading has proven of significant added value to our clients.
Starting with the role:
Currently we are searching for a Commodity Derivatives Officer to operate across the trading and operations desks. She/he is expected to cover customer flow order execution & reporting and cover any required operations functions related to deal capture and regulatory reporting necessary. The officer is expected to demonstrate team spirit, multi-tasking abilities and flexibility while working in a specialized, designated commodities desk.
During your day you will:
- Cover client trading orders and enquiries
- Execute trades for a variety of commodity financial markets
- Follow up with required reporting (Back Office/Operations, Regulator)
- Provide trade support & Processing
- Deal Capture
- Dear Reconciliation & Validation
- Oversee Regulatory/Compliance Reporting
- EMIR/MiFIR Reporting
- FCA Reporting
- Be responsible for other Operations Tasks
- Daily Mark-to-Market
- Daily Confirmations
What you need to stand out:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or other related field
- Knowledge of derivatives (futures and options)
- Data analysis skills (Basic programming ability will be considered as a plus
- Excellent command of the Greek and English language (oral and written)
- Proficient use of MS Office tools
