Starting with the role:

Currently, we are searching to hire a Construction Engineer, to develop and oversee engineering projects, including budgeting and detailed project planning, while coordinating with internal and external parties to ensure compliance with technical, safety and licensing standards.

During your day you will:

  • Carry out engineering work and develop construction studies (e.g. electrical/ mechanical nature) and the relevant budget and review/ analyze construction studies developed by third parties (e.g.  technology provides, technical consultants)
  • Develop detailed project plan to monitor and track project progress
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects and collaborate to resolve issues
  • Monitor budget and propose any necessary adjustments to meet budgeting objectives
  • Perform on site supervision to ensure that technical standards and all the health and safety measures are met
  • Prepare reports on projects progress, budget, issues and compliance to contractors’ agreements’ terms and propose improvements to resolve issues or delays in a timely manner, reduce costs and increase quality and productivity
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing and technical requirements and implement the licensing procedures and ensure that all safety procedures are strictly adhered and recommend improvements for safety performance
  • Maintain all project documentation and licenses/ permits up-to-date and accurate
  • Stay up to date with industry standards, legislation and best practices

What you need to stand out:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering
  • Master’s degree will be considered a plus
  • At least 2 years of working experience in civil engineering projects preferably in retail industry
  • Strong working knowledge on Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project Manager, AUTOCAD
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English language (oral and written)
