Starting with the role:

We are looking for an Energy Analysis & Forecasting Supervisor who will be responsible for estimating long-term energy production, assessing asset performance, developing predictive models, and updating forecasts to optimize efficiency and adapt to changing market conditions.

During your day you will:

  • Be responsible for estimating long-term wind, solar, and hydro production for the portfolio, incorporating actual and historical data, including budgets.
  • Reassess yield projections, considering lifetime extensions and predictive maintenance models.
  • Conduct asset performance assessments, including power curve verification, KPI identification and root-cause analysis (RCA) of incidents and faults based on SCADA data.
  • Evaluate forecast providers and conducts data mining.
  • Develop statistical techniques and machine learning models for aggregator (FOSE) forecasting.
  • Propose regular forecast updates to reflect market conditions and other influencing factors.
  • Model grid curtailment and assess its impact on energy production.

What you need to stand out:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Math or Statistics.
  • Master’s degree in related fields will be considered an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in related field.
  • Proficiency with program language PYTHON, R and SQL
  • Experience developing and deploying machine learning models
  • Experience in time series forecasting
  • Extensive experience exploring and extracting insights from multi-dimensional and varying data sets
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills both in Greek and English
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Suite (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Visio) 
  • Well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to synthesize and organize large amounts of data
