Starting with the role:

Currently we are searching to hire an Energy Assessment Engineer who will be responsible for evaluating wind resources, designing project layouts with software, conducting long-term analyses, and ensuring compliance with industry standards for efficient energy production.

During your day you will:

• Evaluate wind resources and designs layouts for utility-scale projects
• Builds wind models for prospective projects using computational software.
• Conduct long-term Measure Correlate Predict (MCP) analysis and assess ambient turbulence at various hub heights.
• Prepare site assessment reports and optimizes project layouts.
• Ensure site compliance with IEC standards and support evaluation of new projects.
• Collaborate on project layout optimization and performance evaluations.
• Participate in budgeted long-term energy estimates and projections.
• Provide recommendation for the optimized efficiency of a project (Wind turbine model, optimized layout).
• Provide recommendations regarding systems utilization and processes improvement.

What you need to stand out:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Physics or Mathematics
• Master’s degree in related fields will be considered an asset
• 1-3 years of experience in related field (preferably in energy assessment)
• Proficiency with wind flow modelling software such as Meteodyn/WindPro/WAsP/WindFarm
• Knowledge of PVSyst
• Knowledge of data analysis programs Windographer/WindRose
• Experience with offshore wind and PV systems
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or SAP (optional)
• Fluency in English (verbal and written)
• Proficient in all MS Office software especially Word, Excel, Power Point
• Well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills
