Starting with the role:
Currently we are searching to hire an Energy Assessment Specialist who will be responsible for assessing wind resources, designing layouts for utility-scale projects, analyzing wind production data, and ensuring compliance with IEC standards.
During your day you will:
- Assess wind resources and designs layouts for wind (onshore, offshore), and PV projects.
- Use specialized software (MeteoDyn, WindPro, WAsP) for wind flow modeling and layout optimization.
- Analyze wind production data, including project losses and uncertainties.
- Prepare site assessment reports for prospective wind farms and ensures compliance with IEC standards.
- Participate in evaluating new onshore and offshore projects under development.
- Assist in long-term energy estimates and projections for budgeting.
- Provide system and administrative support related to energy assessments.
- Provide recommendation for the optimized efficiency of a project (Wind turbine model, optimized layout)
- Provide recommendations regarding systems utilization and processes improvement
What you need to stand out:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Physics or Mathematics
- Master Degree in related fields will be considered an asset
- More than 4 years of experience in related field (preferably in energy assessment).
- Proficiency with wind flow modelling software such as Meteodyn/WindPro/WAsP/WindFarm
- Knowledge of PVSyst
- Knowledge of data analysis programs Windographer/WindRose
- Experience with offshore wind and PV systems
- Familiarity in working with reanalysis datasets
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or SAP (optional)
- Fluency in English (verbal and written)
- Proficient in all MS Office software especially Word, Excel, Power Point
- Well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills
