Starting with the role:

Currently, we are searching to hire an Energy Originator -Balkans to join our Energy Origination Team.

 

You will be responsible for activities related to the marketing of energy management and trading, PPAs and aggregation (RES and DR) activities, products and services, including managing customer relationships, analysing and monitoring respective portfolios and overall supporting the efforts of commercial activities expansion internationally. 

During your day you will:

  • Support the efforts to identify opportunities for Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) related to offtake and/or supply of energy and assists the Head of Energy Origination in relevant negotiations, and contract compilation
  • Be responsible for identifying, coordinating and submitting responses to RES RFPs from potential corporate clients, to ensure participation
  • Support energy management and trading activities by identifying opportunities, proposing relevant products and assisting in their design and promotion to the relevant domestic and international markets
  • Support international expansion efforts by examining regulatory framework, liaising with relevant authorities and local consultants and supporting entities (lawyers, accountants)
  • Execute account management activities, including developing and maintaining business relationships with counterparties and clients within local and international markets
  • Collect market, commercial and regulatory data/ information towards conducting relevant analyses to support the Section’s activities

What you need to stand out:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business Administration or other related field
  • Master’s degree or MBA will be considered a plus
  • At least 3 years’ experience in the RES, Energy sector or sales to industrial clients 
  • Knowledge on key energy market participants and understanding of key market dynamics
  • Knowledge on financial instruments (e.g. options, swaps, etc.) and programming language(s) (MATLAB, Python, etc.) will be considered a plus
  • Proficient use of MS Office tools, especially Excel
  • Excellent command of the English language (additional languages, esp. from Balkan countries, will be considered a plus)
