Starting with the role:

Currently we are searching to hire a Grid Engineering Supervisor who will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of the electrical grid infrastructure of the Renewable Energy Projects (e.g. PVs, Wind Farms, BESS) enquiring technical excellence and compliance with standards.

During your day you will:

  • Develop detailed electrical grid designs and specifications
  • Provide technical expertise in the design, analysis, and optimization of the electrical grid
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex grid-related issues
  • Coordinate with other teams across the Renewables and Project Development Departments to ensure seamless integration of grid engineering projects and identify opportunities for technological advancements and process improvements
  • Supervise and oversee all activities of engineering specialists, attend site visits, FAT, and SAT as required, and support contractual negotiations with EPC contractors regarding technical areas such as equipment specifications and testing
  • Perform CAPEX estimation and support technical due diligence
  • Prepare RFQs related to grid works and review suppliers’ and contractors’ technical documentation

What you need to stand out:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Master’s degree in a related field is considered a plus.
  • At least 7 years of experience in MV/HV Substations and/or HV Submarine/Underground Interconnections
  • Proven track record in design and construction of Substations and/or Transmission Lines (Overhead, Underground and Submarine)
  • Experience in power systems in relation to RES
  • Very good understanding of the technical components & design considerations of electrical grid, performance and O&M practices in Substations and Grid Interconnections
  • Networking to Greek TSO and other Utilities (e.g. HEDNO)
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English language (oral and written)
  • Very good knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Word and Excel
