Starting with the role:
We are looking for a Head of ΙΤ Retail who will be responsible for all aspects of information systems and digital initiatives for all the retail companies and ensures seamless operation of Retail stores in Greece and abroad, enhancing productivity, improving customer experience, and driving innovation through digital trends and technologies.
The Head of IT Retail leads a team of professionals to ensure the seamless delivery of IT services and technical solutions, manages vendor relationships and leads IT innovation within the Retail companies. Furthermore, the Head of IT Retail oversees the smooth operations of Retail site systems, their integration with SAP & other ERP systems, payment and other line of business (LoB) applications. The role manages the collaboration with other departments and external partners to deliver innovative and impactful solutions in alignment with the Retail business vision, strategy, goals and values.
During your day you will:
- Be responsible for the seamless IT service delivery for all Retail stores (indicatively fuels sites, convenience stores, pharmacies, car wash sites, energy (utilities) stores) over a number of countries.
- Be responsible for the design, requirements analysis, planning, implementation and monitoring of new projects/ solutions for all Retail stores, ensuring the integrity/quality of the overall solutions.
- Be responsible for planning and executing/monitoring of the corresponding budget in Retail.
- Be responsible for the fiscal and legal compliance of all Retail stores cooperating closely with the tax and legal departments and tax authorities to monitor deadlines and timetables and schedule IT resources accordingly.
- Evaluate current business processes to identify opportunities for digital enhancement and advises stakeholders on optimal digital investments to boost productivity and improve customer experience.
- Analyze, evaluate and propose procurement of hardware, software & IT services, considering current and future needs of the Retail stores.
- Monitor vendors SLAs according to their contractual obligations and manages vendor relationships and escalations.
- Stay abreast of emerging digital trends and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Supervise section staff, sets goals and evaluates performance
What you need to stand out:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- Master of Science degree with relevant specialization would be considered a plus
- At least 6 years of proven experience in similar role and fast paced environment
- High level knowledge of Information systems and technology management. Knowledge of SAP business processes will be considered a plus.
- Knowledge of Retail industry standards and practices. Experience in the Fuels Retail sector will be considered a plus.
- Excellent communications skills both verbal and written, in Greek and English languages
- Demonstrates clear leadership and supervisory skills.
- Strategic vision and planning.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels to both technical and non-technical audiences.
