Starting with the role:
Currently, we are searching to hire a Head of Planning & Controlling who will manage the analysis and reporting of financial & business data to support informed decision-making and operational excellence in the organization.
During your day you will:
- Be responsible for the annual budget preparation process in alignment with the company’s corporate strategy and information received from the units as well as for preparation of the deviation reports.
- Review semi-annual PnL and Cash Flow rolling forecast to provide to the Finance Manager an updated estimation of the annual financial performance
- Review and ensures accuracy the management reporting packages that include financial results and analysis, business specific information and variance analyses at Company and portfolio level
- Review financial models in order to evaluate the business cases from a financial perspective
- Present findings and develops recommendations for financial and operational improvements to the Finance Manager.
- Oversee ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by senior management to address specific business questions or concerns.
- Oversee financial reporting processes and procedure to ensure consistency and compliance with internal controls and policies, as well as regulatory requirements.
- Monitor financial data related to shops (revenue, stocks, cash) reconciliation process is properly performed
What you need to stand out:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or Business Administration.
- At least 7 years of experience in financial or management reporting, preferably within the Retail sector.
- Proven track record in analyzing complex financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- MBA or master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field would be considered a plus.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and business performance metrics.
- Strong knowledge of data analysis methodologies and statistical techniques.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools and software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL).
- Working knowledge of SAP functionalities and processes.
- Excellent communications skills both verbal and written, in Greek and English languages.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc ).
- Data analysis & modelling skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
