Starting with the role:
Currently, we are searching to hire a Head of Tax to join our Finance & Procurement Team and lead all aspects of tax compliance, reporting, and internal policies/procedures development to ensure tax obligations are met, tax-related risks are managed and strategic objectives are supported.
During your day you will:
- Be responsible to monitor and ensure the compliance of the organization with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the integrity of tax data, ensure adherence to tax obligations and minimize tax-related risks.
- Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of all tax returns (e.g., income taxes, withholding taxes, VAT, stamp duty, transfer pricing), including related documentation, working closely with the Accounting Team to maintain properly tax ledger.
- Monitor, review and prepare required documentation for intercompany (within MORE and with MOH Group) and international transactions from a tax perspective.
- Handle external Tax Auditors and Audits from Tax Authorities, ensuring timely and accurate provision of any required data and facilitates the clarification of issues or any other requests.
- Be responsible for identifying updated tax regulations/trends and implementing procedures to reflect changes.
- Support the implementation and optimization of the ERP system, especially in areas of tax interest (e.g., myDATA).
- Act as a liaison between the company and tax contractors/advisors of foreign subsidiaries.
- Provide tax advice during the design and implementation of restructuring/transformation, major commercial transactions and investments, and other ad-hoc projects, acting as the focal point with external tax advisors.
- Develop and support the growth of the Section’s team
What you need to stand out:
- BSc degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax or Business Administration or Economics
- MSc degree in Finance or Accounting is an asset
- Minimum 8 years of previous experience in tax supervising roles
- Knowledge on Tax Accounting and other relevant standards
- International Taxation
- Proficient in the Greek and English language (verbal and written)
- Knowledge on MS Office especially Excel
- Knowledge of SAP and ERP systems
