Job Description

We are searching to hire a Junior Accountant for efficient, timely and accurate processing of accounting tasks.

Main responsibilities

  • Records accounting transactions (i.e. revenue, expenses, fixed assets, etc.) in accordance with relevant statutory and reporting regulations
  • Tracks Assets’ depreciation and monitors fixed asset register
  • Monitors and ensures that accounting tasks (accounts payables, receivables, etc.) are performed as per established policies and processes, including: 1) Processing and verification of invoices (accounts payable and accounts receivable), 2) Accounts reconciliation (incl. intercompany balances) and internal controls by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances (i.e. balance sheet and P&L accounts, including bank reconciliations), 3) Performing accounting entries and cost centers update
  • Prepares year-end journal entries, provisions and accruals
  • Processes and reviews aging analysis to ensure compliance to accounting standards
  • Investigates and resolves vendor/ customer queries
  • Performs AP/ AR master data management
  • Interacts with other internal departments to ensure data collection and support relevant business units
  • Performs month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Prepares accounting reports
  • Supports audit procedure and cooperates with auditors

Qualifications / Requirements

  • BSc degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or Economics
  • Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting is an asset
  • 1-2 years of previous experience in accounting or similar roles
  • Experience in SAP environment
  • Proficient use of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills both in Greek and English
