Starting with the role:

We are currently searching to hire a Land Development Engineer who will be responsible for site identification, evaluation, and landowner engagement, while maintaining accurate geospatial and documentation records to facilitate successful renewable-energy project development.

During your day you will:

  • Conduct on-site visits to identify and evaluate land parcels suitable for RES projects, considering access, terrain, grid proximity and environmental constraints.
  • Gather and record onsite data, ensuring up-to-date mapping and documentation for each prospect.
  • Engage directly with landowners, present project opportunities and support Project Managers in negotiating leases, options and easements.
  • Coordinate topographic, environmental and geotechnical surveys on site, ensuring consultants follow HSE and data-quality standards.
  • Maintain organised land files, cadastral maps and contract trackers in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate daily with GIS, Permitting and Project Development teams to transfer field data and align site layouts with licensing needs.
  • Monitor local land markets and zoning changes to provide timely insights on land valuation and negotiation strategy.

What you need to stand out:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field considered a plus.
  • 4–6 years of field experience in land acquisition and surveying preferably within renewable-energy or infrastructure projects.
  • Hands-on experience with GIS & CAD software.
  • Knowledge of real-estate law, cadastral systems, planning, zoning, land use, land ownership, leasing legislation and desirably, permitting basics for RES projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence communicating with landowners and local authorities.
  • Fluency in Greek and English (verbal and written).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with SharePoint or similar platforms.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to rural and island sites.
