Starting with the role:
We are looking to hire a Legal Specialist to join our Legal team.
During your day you will:
- Provide legal support for the company’s daily commercial operations and business transactions
- Draft, review, various commercial agreements (distribution, procurement, franchising, and service contracts)
- Handle corporate governance matters, including drafting minutes for the Board of Directors and General Meetings
- Monitor and ensure compliance with commercial legislation and regulatory requirements
- Manage out-of-court dispute and coordinate with external law firms for litigation matters
- Conduct legal research on new legislation and jurisprudence affecting the retail/commercial sector
- Assist in the management of the company’s trademark portfolio and intellectual property rights
- Maintain and organize the department's legal archive and contract database
What you need to stand out:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB)
- Master’s degree in Commercial or Corporate Law will be considered an asset
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within a commercial company or a law firm
- Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
