We are searching to hire an Operations & Maintenance Supervisor for very dynamic and fast-growing Power Generation Department.
The individual will be responsible for the coordination of monitoring and control operations and for preventive and corrective maintenance activities for power generation assets in Southern Greece.
The position is located in MORE’s HQ in Marousi, Athens.
Main Responsibilities
- Coordinates the efficient operation and monitoring of all power generation assets. Oversees implementation of procedures related to the remote control of equipment in the plants
- Evaluates and analyzes technical performance of all assets, provides improvement recommendations to senior management and coordinates implementation of respective corrective actions to restore production and increase availability
- Responsible for the operation of the energy monitoring & control platforms (e.g. SCADA, VPP, ETRM) and their improvement in cooperation with IT department and external providers
- Prepares reports to management
- Ensures the compliance of the assets and operational activities to the legal and licensing requirements
- Coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance works
- Supervises and orchestrates activities performed by subcontractors
- Performs on site visits in order to evaluate activities from a technical perspective and assure that all health and safety measures are in place
- Proposes and oversees projects for the technical improvement of operating assets
Main Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Master’s degree or MBA will be preferred
- Minimum 5 years of previous experience in power plant operations
- Knowledge of industrial computer systems (e.g. SCADA), monitoring tools, platforms and programming (e.g. MATLAB, Python)
- Familiarity with Electricity Distribution Network and Transmission System codes and standards
- Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations
- Fluency in English (verbal and written)
- Proficient in all MS Office software
- Availability for professional travelling within the Greek territory
