Starting with the role:

We are looking for an New Markets & Technologies Senior Expert who will be responsible for driving international market expansion and renewable technology adoption by leading market entry strategy, business case development, and cross-functional coordination of innovation initiatives.

During your day you will:

  • Lead the identification, evaluation, and entry into new international markets with strong renewable energy potential
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies (greenfield, partnerships, or M&A) and associated business cases
  • Assess emerging technologies (e.g., pumped storage, floating offshore, hybrid systems) for business fit and scalability
  • Track global trends in innovation, grid flexibility, and storage to inform timing and prioritization of new initiatives
  • Build strategic relationships with local authorities, regulators, and technology providers in target markets
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Project Development, Energy Management) and MOH General Division to ensure alignment and readiness for implementation
  • Oversee the planning and execution of pilot projects and supports international innovation and R&D activities

What you need to stand out:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Physics, Energy Systems, or a related quantitative field.
  • Master’s degree in Energy Economics, Sustainable Technology, Business Strategy, or other relevant fields will be considered an asset
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the Renewable Energy / Energy sector, with a focus on international market development, strategic business planning, or technology-driven expansion.
  • Proven track record in leading market entry strategies, cross-functional innovation projects, or technology adoption initiatives in the RES sector.
  • Familiarity with key energy market stakeholders, policy frameworks, and a strong grasp of regional and international market dynamics. Strong verbal and written communication skills both in Greek and English
  • Knowledge of financial modeling, investment assessment, and instruments (e.g., options, swaps, PPAs) will be considered an asset.

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Suite (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Visio)
