Starting with the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Operational Excellence & QHSSE Auditor to join our team! 

During your day you will:

  • Audit the production, storage, QC and distribution systems and facilities for energy products (conventional fuels and new/alternative fuels such as Hydrogen, SAF, biofuels).
  • Review technical risks and operational controls in power generation and storage facilities
  • Asses risk control, stock control and operational optimization measures across the MOH supply chain
  • Evaluate project planning, construction, commissioning, start-up and shut-down procedures for fuel and energy systems.
  • Review the effectiveness of safety-critical elements, barriers, and safeguards in place to manage QHSSE risks.
  • Identify gaps and weaknesses, prepares clear, concise audit reports with risk-based findings and value-adding recommendations and tracks implementation progress
  • Engage with stakeholders across operations, engineering, maintenance and HSSE functions through audit and consulting work

What you need to stand out

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related field.
  • Master’s Degree in Safety Engineering, Reliability Engineering or Risk Management will be considered an asset
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in oil & gas, energy or utilities sector, with at least 3 years in operational integrity or operational support roles
  • Exposure to safety, QC, regulatory, or commissioning audits of new energy systems, hydrogen, renewables, or low-carbon fuels is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of operational realities of fuel supply and distribution
  • Experience with QHSSE Management System implementation and regulatory compliance
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and report-writing abilities both in Greek and in English
  • Ability to influence and challenge stakeholders constructively
  • Familiarity with information systems, SAP, digital audit tools (e.g. TeamMate+ or equivalent Audit Management) are considered a plus
  • Experience in delivering training or presentations on technical and audit topics
  • Accountability, adaptability & agility
