Starting with the role:

We are looking for a Order Processing Officer who will manage and coordinate the supply chain/ orders for chemical products, including liquid chemicals and polymers, from third-party logistics (3PL) warehouses to customers, as well as the import of goods from international suppliers.

 

During your day you will:

  • Manage the order execution for isotanks and containers/full trucks, including cargo insurance for transportation.
  • Be responsible to plan daily all chemical operations at the facility (loading/unloading of tankers, isotanks, and transfers) in collaboration with transport companies, the facility, CSC, sales, and customs brokers.
  • Handle the execution of full truck/groupage deliveries from five logistics warehouses (Athens and Thessaloniki) to customers.
  • Be responsible for the implementation of monthly physical inventory counts and stock reconciliation across all warehouses.
  • Create purchase orders in SAP for international suppliers and performs the invoice verification based on order’s details.
  • Be responsible to ensure that all the customs requirements have been implemented from the customs brokers and handle the advance payments required and relevant invoice checks.  
  • Monitor the established KPIs with all logistics providers regarding order delivery times and quality issues, as well as manage customer complaints related to logistics.
  • Request spot quotes for FCA shipments of liquid chemicals and polymer imports to ensure optimal pricing.
  • Review monthly charges from three 3PL logistics providers, including storage fees, loading/unloading fees (in-out), and distribution charges per customer order, and escalates any discrepancy.

What you need to stand out:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/ Finance/ Business or other related field
  • Master’s degree in related fields will be considered an asset
  • 1-3 years’ experience in logistics operations
  • Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
  • Proficient use of MS Office tools
  • Fluency in English and Greek, both oral and written
  • Team working
  • Negotiations & Communication Skills
