Starting with the role:

Currently we are searching to hire a Project Development & Licensing Engineer who will be responsible  for the day-to-day delivery of licensing and development activities for assigned renewable energy projects in Greece and abroad. The role will prepare and monitor applications, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, maintain licensing records and support the timely achievement of project milestones from early development through construction and operation.

During your day you will:

• Prepare & follow up on applications, renewals, and amendments for Producer's Certificates, installation and operation licenses, forestry, archaeological, aviation, military, municipal, regional, and other required approvals.
• Review and coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments, environmental permitting activities, and associated technical documentation.
• Gather, verify, and consolidate the technical, corporate, land, environmental, grid, and other documents required for complete and accurate applications.
• Act as a working-level contact with public authorities, follow up on pending applications, and coordinate timely responses to requests for clarification or supplementary information.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders including Engineering, Land Management, Legal, Finance, and Construction teams to ensure alignment on project requirements and timelines.
• Maintain the licensing registers, project data room, and document-control records, monitoring license conditions, expiry and renewal dates, guarantees, obligations, and critical dependencies.
• Manage and analyze geographic and spatial information using GIS and other relevant tools to support licensing process.
• Create and manage Purchase Requisitions (PRs) in SAP and follow up the procurement and payment workflow to ensure the timely engagement and payment of external consultants and service providers.

What you need to stand out:

• University degree in Engineering, Forestry, Environmental Science or other related field
• Master’s degree in a relevant field is considered a plus.
• At least 3 years of relative professional experience preferably in renewable energy.
• Strong understanding of the renewable energy project lifecycle and Greek licensing framework.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing, submitting, and monitoring permit applications and in coordinating effectively with public authorities, consultants, and internal stakeholders. Fluency in English (verbal and written).
• Proficient in all MS Office software, GIS and Autocad. Ability and willingness to travel within Greece and internationally, as required by project needs.
