Starting with the role:

Currently we are searching to hire an Project Development & Licensing Engineer who will be responsible  for conducting, overseeing and providing guidance on environmental and surveying analyses in compliance with regulatory requirements regarding licensing of energy projects and supporting the end-to-end licensing process of projects.

During your day you will:

  • Support the design of new Energy Projects, in terms of:
    • identification of environmental regulation
    • environmental and surveying planning
    • identification of forest land and other regulation
  • Undertake Environmental Impact Assessment studies and forest studies in the context of obtaining the corresponding licenses, including providing guidance on and review of relevant reports from external specialists (when applicable)
  • Cooperate with authorities, landowners and internal and external technical experts, and supports the coordination of all related parties, in order to obtain environmental and local forest approvals and/or permits & licenses required for the development of energy projects
  • Conduct site surveys including analyzing geographical data such as terrain features, land use patterns, and environmental factors to inform decision-making during the licensing process
  • Provide surveying data and maps to support the preparation of license applications and regulatory submissions
  • Support the Senior Project Manager/ Project Manager in the end-to-end licensing process of a project
  • Support the Senior Project Manager/ Project Manager to maintain accurate records related to licensing requirements as well as for any other required project documentation

What you need to stand out:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or civil or electrical engineering or other relevant technical field
  • Master’s degree in a related field is considered a plus.
  • At least 3 years of relative professional experience accompanied by a proven track-record of projects successfully developed
  • Strong understanding of the development process of renewable energy projects
  • Environmental Impact Studies evaluation knowledge and experience
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written)
  • Proficient in all MS Office software especially Word, Excel and Power Point
