Starting with the role:
Currently we are searching to hire a QHSSE Engineer based in Αthens. The role who will be responsible for projects across Greece, ensuring compliance with QHSSE policies, implementing QHSSE standards, performing risk assessments, conducting training, and managing safety plans and compliance at construction and operating sites.
During your day you will:
- Ensure operational compliance with QHSSE policies, Crisis & Emergency Plans, and legal frameworks, including ESG reporting requirements.
- Perform Safety Engineer/Technician duties and ensures legal compliance in HSE, supporting departments in meeting their legislative requirements.
- Create site visit reports and provides consultation to site supervisors on QHSSE compliance and best practices.
- Conduct regular sessions with site supervisors for either operational or project sites to review ongoing QHSSE issues and relevant contractors performance.
- Identify training needs, delivers HSE training, and convenes safety meetings to promote awareness and compliance.
- Support the implementation of QHSSE MS standards, including Management of Change processes, across departments.
- Undertake risk assessments and develop Emergency Response Plans for various projects and operations.
- Initiate procurement requests for services by Safety Coordinators and provides technical advice
- Assist in incident management, leading investigations per INIL procedures to identify learnings and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders and authorities, staying updated on relevant QHSSE legislation and fostering a proactive safety culture.
What you need to stand out:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Master’s degree in Engineering or other relative field will be considered an asset
- At least 3 years of working experience on relative business as Health and Safety Inspector/coordinator preferably on construction or field operations
- QHSSE Technical Competencies
- Sound knowledge of ISO requirements
- Fluency in English (verbal and written)
- Leadership Skills
- Attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Time management skills
- Travelling flexibility is required
