Starting with the role:
We are searching to hire a Risk Manager to join the Risk Management Department. You will be responsible for developing and monitoring the risk control framework including the respective policies and processes.
Location: Maroussi
During your day you will:
- Develop and maintain a robust risk control framework for Energy Management and Trading activities, aligning with the risk strategy
- Implement and enhance risk control policies and processes based on best practices, ensuring compliance of Energy Management and Trading activities
- Develop and maintain risk management reporting (P&L - Mark to Market, Greeks, Value-at-Risk, and associated limits) to accurately reflect trading books' performance
- Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to assess the effectiveness of risk control measures
- Work closely with Energy Management and Trading teams to understand positions taken and market behavior, providing insights to Senior Management and support to Front Office where required
- Conduct scenario analysis to assess the impact of potential market events on Energy Management and Trading portfolios, including stress testing to gauge resilience under adverse conditions.
- Facilitate risk assessment aligned with the MOH Group risk methodology, maintaining the company's risk matrix (enterprise risk management), and ensuring alignment with the Group Risk function
- Conduct risk exposure analysis, identifying areas for improvement and risks associated with market fluctuations and regulatory changes
What you need to stand out:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics or other numerical discipline
- Master’s degree in related field with strong quantitative skills will be preferred
- At least 8 years of experience in risk within the energy trading or commodities sector
- Strong understanding of energy markets, derivatives, and risk modelling techniques
- Proficient use of MS Office, especially Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills both in Greek and English
