Starting with the role:
Currently we are searching to hire a SCADA & IT Specialist who will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and compliance of SCADA systems across various renewable energy installations while collaborating with different departments to gather requirements. This position also involves cybersecurity compliance monitoring, ensuring system connectivity, troubleshooting issues, and managing documentation related to network installations.
During your day you will:
- Collect and analyze the needs of various departments to accurately specify the SCADA system's capabilities.
- Continuously monitor the connectivity and operational performance of SCADA systems across different renewable energy installations
- Specify and manage Internet Service Provider (ISP) services to ensure stable and reliable data transmission for SCADA systems.
- Provide guidance and support to site technicians and operational teams for the troubleshooting and resolution of SCADA-related issues.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all SCADA system installations, network architectures, and configuration settings.
- Ensure seamless integration of SCADA systems with industrial equipment, such as PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and industrial communication protocols, including Modbus, IEC-104, DNP3, and OPC UA.
What you need to stand out:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Master Degree in related fields will be considered an asset
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SCADA system management and IT infrastructure within the renewable energy sector.
- In-depth knowledge of SCADA systems
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, especially in relation to industrial control systems (ICS).
- Experience with ISP service specifications, network connectivity, and troubleshooting in a renewable energy context.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written)
- Proficient in all MS Office software especially Word, Excel, Power Point
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
