Starting with the role:
We are currently searching to hire a Senior Energy Trader to be responsible for the end to end power trading, including strategy implementation, market analysis and scheduling and for providing guidance and coordination of the activities of the Energy Trading Team that fall under their area of responsibility.
During your day you will:
- Coordinate Energy Trading Team members’ activities, within his/her area of responsibility, and participate in:
- Timely and accurate scheduling of power flows across all relevant markets
- Trade execution in all relevant markets within authorized limits, or under the Head of Energy Trading instructions, ensuring compliance with the Code of Conduct and Trading Manual procedures
- Oversee market analysis on relevant markets/products, identify and propose trading strategies and update management on market conditions
- Ensure:
- Implementation of the Energy Trading strategy within his/her area of responsibility,
- Correct execution of trades and schedules,
- Proper and timely deal capturing in the relevant deal monitoring platform and informs Back Office accordingly
- Monitor positions, propose corrective actions and coordinate their implementation by Energy Trading Team members
- Contribute to the maintenance and development of the trading tools and databases used by Energy Trading
- Build rapport with market participants, TSOs, brokers and other key stakeholders
What you need to stand out:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Engineering/ Mathematics/ Statistics or other related discipline
- Master’s degree in science or other related field with strong quantitative skills will be preferred
- At least 5 years of professional trading and data modelling experience
- Knowledge of programming languages especially Python is considered a plus
- Perform tasks with diligence, proactively and in a timely manner
- Excellent command of the Greek and English language (oral and written)
- Proficient use of MS Office tools
- Flexibility working in shifts
