We are searching to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team.
Main Responsibilities
- Evaluates technical input produced by Third Parties (Technical Consultants, Technology Providers, Subcontractors, Equipment Suppliers) such as technical drawings, technical specifications, mass and energy balances for complex Solid Waste Management Plants and Water Treatment Facilities
- Designs elaborate technical drawings for complex Solid Waste Management Plants and Water Treatment Facilities
- Designs and proposes Mechanical, Biological, Chemical Processes and calculations for Solid (Waste) and Liquid (Waste, Wastewater) streams (i.e. Process flows, mass and energy balances).
- Cooperates with Third Parties (Technical Consultants, Technology Providers, Subcontractors) and with the in-house Engineering teams (Structural Designer, Civils, Electrical, Chemical) and provides technical advice for technical issues
- Evaluates the technical part of the Contracts (Technology Providers, Technical Consultants)
- Monitors technical legislation, regulation and permission processes and proposes compliance actions where required
- Supports Engineering teams from a technical perspective
- Supports Engineering Construction & Operation Project Management teams on documentation and reporting, on-site supervision, contract management.
Main Qualifications
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant field
- Master’s degree will be considered an asset
- Minimum 5 years previous experience in a similar role in industrial construction industry. Experience in Solid Waste and energy/ renewables sector construction projects would be considered a plus.
- Knowledge on building and safety regulations & standards
- Knowledge on Project scheduling Software (preferable MS Project)
- Excellent Knowledge on 2D and 3D Design (preferable Autocad and Inventor)
- Very good command of the English language, written and verbal
- Good knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
