Starting with the role:
We are looking for a Senior SAP IT Project Manager who will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and closure of complex SAP IT projects within the Group. This role involves planning, controlling and executing a project or set of related projects to meet identified business needs and deliver business value, acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality.
During your day you will:
- Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of SAP IT projects lifecycle from demands to completion
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that align with business objectives and stakeholder requirements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications/ coordinations providing updates through ServiceNow PPM, facilitating stakeholder meetings, and delivering regular progress reports.
- Provide guidance, mentorship and leadership to project teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, efficiency and professional growth to ensure high performance.
- Proactively identify and manage project risks, support change efforts, and oversee issue resolution ensuring problems are addressed in a timely manner.
- Use extensive business knowledge to define the steps the business must take in order to accept and implement new IT-enabled processes, and communicates these steps to senior business managers, ensuring that they are committed to the change program.
- Ensure that the projects meet performance, quality, and cost objectives by applying best practices, monitoring outcomes, and driving continuous improvement through post-project evaluations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage internal project teams, including assigning responsibilities, setting expectations, and ensuring accountability and align with vendor project management for external project teams
What you need to stand out:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology or a related field
- Master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field would be considered a plus
- 5+ years of experience in IT project management, including SAP ERP implementation projects
- Proven track record of successfully delivering SAP IT projects on time and within budget
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), cloud technologies, and IT infrastructure
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello, etc.)
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or PRINCE2 certification is strongly preferred
- Additional certifications in ITIL, Agile, or Scrum methodologies are a plus
- Excellent communications skills both verbal and written, in Greek and English languages
- Exceptional leadership, team working and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent project management methods, planning and risk management skills
