Starting with the role:

Currently, we are searching to hire a Stocks Accountant who will manage and implement inventory accounting processes by ensuring accurate valuation and related reporting needs.

During your day you will:

  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of inventory, from procurement to sale, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of stock levels.
  • Perform stocks reconciliation per store and per plant 

and more specifically:

  1. control/ reconcile purchases, sales, gains and losses stocks, movements of own stocks in own and 3rd party depots
  2. check/ correct negative stocks
  3. reconcile stock movements against FI-GL
  4. perform/ check the accuracy of Weighted Average Cost evaluation
  5. provide full reconciliation of inventory volumes
  • Collaborate closely with Accounts payable to identify stock deliveries deviation against invoices received
  • Collaborate with internal and external audit teams to facilitate inventory audits, ensures adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Identifiy and recommend process improvements to enhance the efficiency of stock accounting procedures and minimize errors. 

What you need to stand out:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Economics, Finance or Business Administration
  • At least 3 years of experience in Accounting, preferably in the retail or e-commerce sector
  • Master degree in a relevant field will be considered an asset
  • Sound knowledge of retail accounting
  • Knowledge of inventory control techniques and methodologies.
  • Awareness of supply chain management practices and their impact on inventory management.
  • Working knowledge of SAP functionalities and processes
  • Fluency in English (proficiency in writing, reading, speaking)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint)
  • Analytical thinking
  • Team player
