Starting with the role:
Currently, we are searching a GL Accountant who will be responsible to prepare and maintain comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely resolution of discrepancies.
During your day you will:
- Be accountable for the issuance of Fiscal Books in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Monitor and control all modifications to customer and vendor reconciliation accounts, ensuring that all required procedures and validations are completed.
- Ensure that account balances under assigned responsibility are fully reconciled, with particular attention given to the timely resolution of aged items.
- Oversee the monthly closing activities related to realized and unrealized Foreign Exchange Differences.
- Serve as a backup for bank accounting activities, including the uploading of bank statements, reconciliation of bank accounts, and execution of direct debit and credit transactions.
What you need to stand out:
- University Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline
- 1-2 years of working experience in similar position will be considered an asset
- Excellent knowledge of MS Suite (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Visio)
- Knowledge of financial systems, preferably SAP
- Excellent use of the Greek and English language
