Starting with the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Technical Auditor to join our team!

During your day you will

  • Plan, lead and perform audits related to process safety, asset integrity, operational efficiency and risk management.
  • Assess compliance with industry regulations and standards such as SEVESO, API, IEC, OSHA et al.
  • Review Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), assess Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and the efficiency of safety-critical elements, barriers and safeguards in place.
  • Assess project planning, construction, commissioning, start-up and shut-down procedures for fuel and energy systems.
  • Identify gaps and weaknesses, prepare concise audit reports with risk-based findings and value-adding recommendations and track implementation progress.
  • Engage with stakeholders across operations, engineering, maintenance and HSSE functions through audit and consulting work.
  • Support business risk management and governance through specialized consulting work upon request.
  • Balance compliance expectations with operational realities and recommend practical, risk-based solutions

What you need to stand out

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering or other related field.
  • Master’s Degree in Safety Engineering, Reliability Engineering or Risk Management will be considered an asset
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in oil & gas, petrochemicals or power generation industries, with at least 5 years in process safety or asset integrity roles
  • Strong working knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) Systems, Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)
  • Knowledge of International and regional asset integrity standards, including SEVESO III Directive, API (e.g., 570, 580), and IEC (e.g. 61511) frameworks
  • Working experience in technical audit planning, execution and reporting
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to influence and challenge stakeholders constructively and work in multidisciplinary teams
  • Proven ability to supervise, mentor, or develop junior auditors and engineers.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing abilities
  • Familiarity with information systems, SAP, digital audit tools are considered a plus
