Starting with the role:

Currently we are searching to hire a Head of Accounting, to join our team at OFC TECHNICAL S.A (General Contractor), a subsidiary of OFC, to be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of financial operations, reporting, and controls to support effective financial management, audit readiness, and regulatory adherence.

During your day you will:

• Be responsible to monitor and ensure that accounting tasks and transactions are performed as per established standards, policies, processes and regulations (My Data, GEMI)
• Review and submission of tax forms (V.A.T. Income Tax withholding Taxes)
• Be responsible for the management and reporting of travel and off-site project expenses
• Implement and maintains internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data
• Review year-end/interim journal entries, provisions and accruals and overviews month-end closing activities
• Monitor cash balances and reviews payment proposals based on payment criteria prioritization
• Process and review aging analysis to ensure Company’s short-term liquidity
• Ensure accounting compliance with tax and  requirements
• Support on time and successful annual audit review

What you need to stand out:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or Economics
• MSc degree in Finance or Accounting will be considered a plus
• At least 6-8 years of previous experience in accounting supervising roles
• Class A Professional  licence (O.E.E.)
• Knowledge on Accounting/ IFRS and other relevant standards
• Knowledge on MS Office especially Excel
• Excellent knowledge of Soft-One and ERP systems
• Proficient in the Greek and English language (verbal and written)
• Leadership skills
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills
• Organizational and time management skills
