Starting with the role:

Currently we are searching to hire a Blade Expert who will be responsible for the wind turbine blades maintenance, including inspections, analysis, structural assessments, and maintenance strategies, while ensuring safety compliance, coordinating with subcontractors and documenting relevant activities based in Tripoli.

During your day you will:

  • Be responsible for all aspects of wind turbine blade maintenance, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices, including conducting:

1.   Detailed analysis and evaluation of wind turbine blades 

2.   Routine inspections using visual and/or automated methods to identify damage, wear, or defects and

3.   Structural assessments, fatigue analysis, and failure investigations to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions

  • Develop and implements maintenance strategies to prolong turbines’ lifespan, increase Annual Energy Production (AEP) and minimize downtime by collaborating with subcontractor’s teams to prioritize and schedule activities
  • Overview and evaluates repair and maintenance tasks, including leading edge repairs, lightning damage repairs, and composite patching
  • Document all inspection, maintenance, and repair activities accurately, including recording inspection findings, blade condition, repair details, and parts used
  • Adhere to and enforce all safety protocols and procedures while working at height and handling specialized equipment for MORE’s and subcontractor’s teams
  • Assist with troubleshooting efforts and participate in root cause analysis of blade-related issues
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and stays updated on advancements in wind turbine blade technology

What you need to stand out:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or composite materials related degree
  • Master’s degree in a related field is considered a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the wind energy industry with a focus on wind turbine blades
  • Understanding of structural dynamics, composite materials, and aerodynamics principles as they relate to wind turbine blades.
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written)
  • Proficient in all MS Office software especially Word, Excel and Power Point
