The Company

Coral Croatia is the Shell licensee in Croatia. With acquisitions of former APIOS at the beginning of 2021, Coral took over the management of 25 gas stations in Croatia. Today, the company operates 37 Shell-branded service stations across Croatia, carrying out the branding process in Shell brand, with plans for further expansion in the coming years. The retail sites provide the high-quality Shell fuels and a wider range of other products. The holding company, Coral S.A., is the continuation of Shell Hellas, a company which operates in Greece since 1926. With approximately 800 retail stations operating in Greece, Cyprus, Serbia, Croatia, North Macedonia. They are both part of the leading energy Motor Oil Group based in Greece

Starting with the role:

Currently we are searching to hire a Head of Marketing responsible for designing and implementing the Retail Marketing Strategy. The Head of Marketing will run marketing campaigns and initiatives that support Coral’s volume and profitability targets and will define customer offer for Croatian market and will lead the Marketing team.

During your day you will:

  • Defend and grow fuels’ volume and margin, with focus on managing a portfolio of 2 branded premium products: V-Power 100 and V-Power Diesel. Manage product launches, promotions and communication
  • Build Shell NFR footprint (Shop, Gastro, Car Wash, partnerships/ Colocators, and other services)
  • Monitor all communication and promotional activities. ALT, BTL, direct comms, on site promotions and PR. Manage media partnerships according to the strategic fit to our communication strategy
  • Overview and grow the Loyalty scheme, namely: allSmart loyalty, with a view to enrich customer CVP, increase customer loyalty, defend and grow volume
  • Drive Convenience Retail and Carwash sales with the team, so CR’s role in Retail is to become a key income generator to reduce the business’s margin need
  • Coordinate all applications in Retail: Site RVI and staff appearance, ATL, BTL and POP signage and all activities that run in the network
  • Work closely with Sales and Ops team to ensure maximum effect of campaigns and initiatives that address customers’ needs
  • Be the focal point for Shell Brands International, to funnel all central developments and updates to the Brand and safeguard brand representation in the market
  • Monitor KPIs, propose and implement growth or corrective action plans where necessary
  • Provide performance management, career coaching and talent development for the marketing team

What you need to stand out:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication or Business Management
  • Master’s degree or additional relevant studies will be considered a plus
  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial/marketing roles retail network or FMCG or other industries, with proven strong product and brand management skills
  • Previous experience in sales and especially in the owned retail Network is an asset
  • Knowledge of Retail Economics and Retail processes / systems and sales/ customer service projects (for Shell PMTDR, VOC, MMP, Welcome to Shell, Training)
  • Ability of engaging and motivating Sales and Ops team and Retailers to implement marketing campaigns
  • Familiarity with new technology, ability to use IT and MS OFFICE systems
  • Interpersonal skills are required to convey information, to motivate others, to influence, persuade and negotiate with internal and external partners
  • Excellent Organizational skills
  • Enthusiasm and Passion, with a strong customer orientation
  • Team playing approach and ability to cooperate
