Starting with the role:

Currently we are searching to hire an Accounting and Controlling Specialist responsible for monitoring and ensuring the proper execution of all the tasks of the Accounting Department of Coral Energy Products Cyprus Ltd in collaboration with the Head of Finance. The role will also be responsible for managing and controlling all issues related to Commercial Finance & Credit Risk Management.

During your day you will:

  • Be responsible for Reconciliations and Month End closing activities (i.e. CoGS, stocks, vendor reconciliations) under the direction of the Head of Finance Cyprus
  • Be responsible for the financial control of the Coral Pass Prepaid & Coral Pass Credit programs as well as the organization's Loyalty program
  • Actively participate in the financial analysis of results on a monthly basis at P/L and Balance Sheet level
  • Participate in finance projects and automations in the company's ERP system related to financial control
  • Actively participate in audits (e.g. internal audits, Deloitte audits, Tax audits) under the instructions of the Head of Finance Cyprus

What you need to stand out:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting or a related discipline
  • Master’s degree or additional relevant studies will be considered a plus
  • At least 5 years of experience in an accounting or auditing firm
  • Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Accountant (ACA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent Certification will be considered a plus
  • Proven knowledge of General Ledger accounts and month/year closing procedures
  • Knowledge of Management Reporting and Financial Controlling, proven bookkeeping skills, knowledge of tax legislation will be an asset
  • Strong working knowledge on MS Office and BI tools (i.e. Power BI), while familiarity with SAP and ERP/CRM systems will be considered a plus
  • Experience in communicating with local authorities (tax, etc.) with specific experience in submitting financial statements (e.g. VAT, Income Tax, etc.)
  • Verbal and written communication/presentation skills both in Greek and English
