Starting with the role:
Currently, we are searching to hire an Accountant on a 18 - month contract to join our Accounting Department!
During your day you will:

Record accounting transactions (revenue, expenses, fixed assets, payroll, receivables) in line with statutory regulations and internal policies

Monitor and perform daily accounting operations (accounts payable/receivable), including:

Processing and verifying invoices (AP & AR)

Reconciling accounts by verifying entries and comparing reports with balances (e.g., balance sheet, P&L, bank reconciliations)

Performing accounting entries and updating cost centers

Prepare year-end journal entries, provisions, and accruals

Execute month-end closing tasks, including monthly VAT returns and VIES
-
Prepare monthly/quarterly tax obligations (withholding tax returns, stamp duty, list of agreements, etc.)

Prepare accounting reports as required
What you need to stand out:

BSc in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics

Minimum 1–3 years of experience in accounting or similar roles

Knowledge of Accounting/IFRS and relevant standards

Excellent command of Greek and English (written and verbal)

Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel

Experience working in a SAP environment

Good understanding of the tax regulatory framework
