Starting with the role:
Currently, we are searching to hire an Accounting Officer who will be responsible for executing accurate accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with regulations, preparing financial reports, and supporting overall financial operations through effective data management.
During your day you will:

Record accounting transactions (e.g. revenue, expenses, fixed assets, payroll, and receivables) in accordance with statutory requirements and internal policies.

Perform and monitor day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable processes:

Process and verify invoices (AP & AR)

Reconcile accounts by reviewing entries and comparing system reports with balances (e.g. balance sheet and P&L accounts, including bank reconciliations)

Post accounting entries and maintain accurate cost center allocations

Prepare year-end journal entries, including provisions and accrals.

Support month-end closing activities, including preparation and submission of VAT returns and VIES declarations.

Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly tax obligations (e.g. withholding tax, stamp duty, agreements listing).

Generate and maintain accurate accounting and financial reports to support internal and external stakeholders.
What you need to stand out:

BSc in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics
-
MSc in Finance or Accounting will be considered an asset
-
2-4 years of experience in accounting or a similar role

Knowledge of Accounting principles (IFRS) and relevant standards

Fluency in Greek and English (written & spoken)

Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel

Experience with SAP systems

Understanding of the tax regulatory framework

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Effective communication skills

Good organizational and time management abilities

Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach

Team player with the ability to collaborate across all levels
