Starting with the role:

We are currently searching to hire a Commissioning Engineer who will participate in the planning, preparation and execution of the cold and hot commissioning activities including respective tests, inspections and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will be assigned to various projects both in Greece and abroad, with the majority of assignments based within Greece. The initial assignment will be based in Israel for a project expected to last approximately 1–2 years. 

 

During your day you will:

  • Be responsible for executing all phases of plant startup, including pre-commissioning, commissioning, trial runs and acceptance testing, while troubleshooting issues and performing inspections and measurements, under the supervision of the Head of Electrical Engineering and the Head of Commissioning.
  • Participate in site meetings as required, providing updates on commissioning progress, reporting issues, supporting technical discussions and coordinating next steps, in collaboration with   the Head of Electrical Engineering and the Head of Commissioning.
  • Perform commissioning as per specifications and engineering documents taking into account the safety instructions, environmental protection measures and local regulations.
  • Coordinate and supports the handover of systems from installation to commissioning and from commissioning to the customer in accordance with the procedures/work instructions, as defined by the Head of Electrical Engineering and the Head of Commissioning.
  • Cooperate with third parties (technical consultants, technology providers, subcontractors) and with other in-house engineering teams to resolve technical issues during the commissioning activities.
  • Maintain daily records of commissioning activities including, work performed, incidents, issues, key observations and maintains commissioning records and operational logbooks.
  • Prepare and submit site reports upon completion of each assignment, to the Head of Electrical Engineering and the Head of Commissioning.

What you need to stand out:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • MBA or master’s degree with relevant specialization would be considered a plus.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in Commissioning or Engineering Departments (Commissioning or Consulting or Designing) or Plant operations
  • Additional experience in Waste / Wastewater Treatment Projects would be considered an asset
  • Proficient in the Greek and English language (verbal and written), additional language (s) at technical level will be considered positively.
  • Working knowledge on e-plan and MS Office and AutoCAD 2D (preferably 3D Design) would be considered a plus.
  • Familiarity with international standards in the design of industrial facilities (ANSI/ISA, ISO/IEC, KKS, AKS etc.) will be considered a strong asset.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations & standards (HSE) will be considered positively.
  • Organizational and Time management skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in complex working environment/ multitasking
  • Flexibility to travel
