Starting with the role:
Currently we are searching to hire a Construction Project Engineer to be responsible for project management of Company’s projects including support on coordination, supervision and assurance of projects’ completion on time, within budget and within scope and quality standards and assists and ensure the resolution of any issues that arise.
During your day you will:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing projects
- Coordinate project activities and relevant schedules
- Ensure that projects objectives are met on time and within budget
- Prepare and ensure the submission of the health and safety plan (HSP), including the relevant project timeline and organizational chart
- Coordinate and monitor the communication between Thalis Project team and the Contractual Authorities
- Conduct market research to identify suppliers that provide the required materials and equipment based on project’s declaration
- Submit Purchase Requests in the ERP System and Release orders on approved contracts and fulfill the order cycle in collaboration with the Procurement Section and the warehouse
- Collaborate with Procurement Function to cover projects needs through RFPs
- Monitor vendors contracts related with the project, their relevant progress, quality and invoices
- Compile measurements and bills for submission to the health and safety service
- Maintain and manage projects documentation, records, expenses and files
- Track and report projects performance using appropriate tools and techniques, based on pre-defined set of KPIs
- Identify potential risks and issues that may impact the project and collaborate with the project team to develop risk mitigation strategies
What you need to stand out:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related discipline
- MBA or additional relevant studies will be considered a plus
- At least 2 years of experience in Project Management
- Knowledge in environmental projects will be considered a plus
- Excellent command of the Greek and English language (oral and written)
- Proficient use of MS Office tools
